Although, my mental health wasn’t something I was considering when I started @capturedbydartis two years ago, one thing that’s become apparent to me is that blogging can be therapeutic. . My blog Capturedbydartis has been a blessing in so many aspects of my life, and one thing that it has improved is my mental health. I’ve realized that writing is another way for me to express my hardships, self-awareness, and the many growing stages within my marriage. . During this #quarantine time of quietness and self-reflection, I pray you understand that if you feel like you need an outlet and aren’t sure how to find one, try writing….about anything. Write your feelings, thoughts, and your deepest concerns on paper. Blogging is one outlet and it works for me, but it doesn’t have to be your “therapy”. I think blogging/journaling would be perfect for this moment in time as the world sits silently waiting for the unknown. . I hope you have a productive weekend on purpose!! Happy Friday!
Marriage Truth: Anyone who has been married knows the real truth that marriage is hard work, and while it might get easier over time it still requires a lot of work everyday. We’ve never believed the hype that comes with the fairytale idea of marriage but on the flip side, we never expected to work this hard for what our marriage is today. We don’t grow without pain, hardship, challenges, or difficulty. It’s not possible — not as a couple and not as individuals. It’s those challenges and difficulties that bring two people together and strengthen their bonds. I’ve been working on this blog post for months now. Honestly, it’s taken me awhile to acknowledge the bad in my marriage. It’s been a long journey that I wouldn’t trade for anything. On today’s blog I’m sharing How Moving Across The Country Strengthened My Marriage. #linkinbio #FallingForTheRountrees
I remember cruisin’ on ATV’s in the middle of Aruba listening to the Victory Lap album. We pulled up to some people at a stop sign... with our music still blasting from our Beats Pill speaker of Dedication by @nipseyhussle. They looked at us while listening carefully to the words of the song ol dude threw up his hand to salute & proceeded to scream out the window 🗣🗣The Marathon Continues. 🏁💙 . Listen, I’m still amazed at how his hustle, music, and story has inspired so many around the world. . Thanks Nip for giving Marcus and I that fire we needed to hustle even harder. #businessowners #investments #smartmoves #littledetails #idonotowntherightstothismusic
